A customer recently had a minor tumble while riding one of our scooters, resulting in a small amount of cosmetic damage. The main issue was a missing exhaust heat shield, which most likely came loose and fell off when the bike was dropped.
To determine the repair cost, we checked the official Honda Thailand parts catalogue and charged the customer based on the genuine Honda replacement price. As you can see below, the exhaust shield itself costs only 197 THB ($6), plus 10% tax. We then add a small 100 THB labor fee for our mechanic to source and install the replacement part.
In total, the repair cost was about $10, which is very minor and exactly as it should be.
